Ricordo

“Ricordo” grows out of a layering of images and memories tied to the local area, in a process that moves across time and different artistic languages. The work reworks an original painting, later transformed into a fresco and then into a photograph, until it finds a new interpretation in Munno’s drawing. This play of references, almost a visual “matryoshka”, becomes an act of preserving and reinterpreting collective memory. The ballpoint and India ink mark conveys an intimate, narrative dimension, in which the past is reconstructed through the artist’s contemporary gaze.
