“Farfalla con rosa” was created as a live demonstration of sculptor Antonio Poletto’s craft, made in Cison di Valmarino during the thirty-first edition of Artigianato Vivo. Two elementsrise and converge toward the top of the composition: a butterfly with iron antennae, a symbol of freedom, and a rose on its stem, evoking youth. The surface reflects the artist’s technical range through varied treatments — polishing, pointing and chisel-smoothing — that lend the piece depth and visual richness. The iron elements, made in collaboration with another craftsman present at the event, embody the spirit of exchange that has always animated the festival.
