Panchina in pietra a secco

Under the guidance of Arch. Lisa Iannascoli and Dr Tommaso Saggiorato, with the contribution of master craftsman Gianni Baccichet, the fourteen participants in the introductory course on dry-stone techniques created this bench. Its essential, open L- shape draws the eye in two directions, toward the south-east and the north-west, in dialogue with the landscape of the Prosecco hills. The work stands as a tribute to a thousand-year-old building knowledge, recognised as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2018, and to a territory that, since 2019, shares the same recognition. A place to pause, where material, gesture and landscape find a measured balance.
