“Il Libro del Mazarol” was created as a collective tribute to the memory of a village and to its best-loved mythological figure: a mischievous little man with a kind heart, the silent guardian of the community at the foot of the Prealps. The work interweaves wood and leather in animated panels that tell the story of Cison di Valmarino, where landscape, rural life and folklore merge into a single visual narrative. A quarter of a century on, the restoration carried out by Solinas gives new life not only to the materials, but also to the memories of an unrepeatable artistic season. The fire-marked cover thus becomes an authentic trace of time lived, while the work returns to being a place of encounter between art, community and local identity.
