Doodling Robot

The work is part of the “Random Painting” series, in which the artist questions the traditional role of the author by delegating the creative act to a mechanical device. The mark is in fact generated by the autonomous movement of a machine, driven by an algorithm, which traces repetitive, structured lines. This process opens a reflection on the relationship between humankind, technology and creativity: the work appears to be devoid of intention, yet it is charged with conceptual meaning. In this way, SOS explores the boundaries of contemporary art, questioning whether the machine might replace, or redefine, the figure of the artist.
